So as Christmas Day ends in Michigan and we go lay our heads down, knowing that this will be the last sleep until Robert Bankers birthday on the 27th. We are highly aware that the Detroit Lions, aren’t making the playoffs and there is going to be an ice storm either occurring or finishing when we wake up. So I figured that maybe we should discuss how to handle the situation when you wake up so you don’t call off of work and crawl into bed. Because realistically it’s not the end of the world.
Lessons From My Designated Driver Business Career
Yes I worked as a Designated Driver in people’s vehicles or as the follow vehicle for many years in my 20s. I even ran my own company, which is how I started learning about SEO. So I can remember a night when I owned a 2006 FWD Chevy Malibu and someone requested a pickup, they were in Brighton and were traveling to Rochester Hills. It was after midnight in the winter and the freezing rain/ice storm was happening, it was fine until me and my boy Chris (diamhea) got to Brighton and into the clients vehicle. Then all frozen hell broke loose, however we completed the run and made it home safe.
I would continue to do this job in Front Wheel Drive vehicles until 2012 and my first Jeep Cherokee. The truth is you just have to stay alert, avoid non major roads because the road treatment crew are going to be hitting major roads. Much like our big snow storm on Black Friday weekend, where I drove to Lansing the day after and the roads were still lightly covered with snow. It’s a mindset you have to stay alert and drive based on your comfort level, you can’t be scared or else it makes things worse. When you are prepared for the worst scenario it allows you to handle the easy scenarios with confidence.
How To Be Prepared For The Worst
Keep your distance from other vehicles and on hills going up don’t wimp out make sure you apply the power needed to not get stuck. On the way down distance and make sure you provide yourself an out. This only applies if you actually have to go or come from somewhere. You shouldn’t call off work if you own an SUV or a FWD vehicle with good tires.
So worst case scenario, in Metro Detroit you have to avoid an accident. But if something actually goes wrong and youre stuck but you have a computer aka phone with you.. youll be fine. Carry a shovel even if it’s a folding shovel, a way to start a fire and extra clothes… maybe sleeping gear.
In our modern times we have more tools at our disposable than any generation before us. After taking a high end college course on First Aid, I always travel with first aid kits with fire starting kits and extra clothes. I also take a tarp with me just incase I need to turn my suv into a shelter where I have a fire outside to avoid Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
