Harbaugh Says Big Ten Officials Ruled Aiden Hutchinson Had TD

Some people would say that the referee’s played their hand into States victory in the Michigan and Michigan State game. For me personally looking at that call and going back and back over it I felt that there was something bad called there. I thought that the touchdown should have stayed on the board and that it was an erroneous egregious decision by the referee’s to overturn the call. Now if you look across the internet I found an article on Rivals.com that quoted Jim Harbaugh from his weekly press conference and the exact words. TheBig Ten official and crew following up on looking into it have determined that that should have been a touchdown in that the referees singlehandedly decided the Michigan and Michigan State game.

“Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was asked on Monday what he had heard from the league office about calls submitted to them for review last week by Michigan. In particular, he was asked about the strip-sack edge rusher David Ojabo recorded on 2nd-and-20 with 1:31 remaining in the first half. Edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson recovered the fumble and scored, and the play was called a touchdown on the field. Upon review, however, the officials stated that Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne’s shin was down with control of the football. The apparent touchdown was converted to a sack.
