This summer I camped outside for the first time in Brighton Recreation Area, a Michigan State Park located in Brighton, Michigan. As part of my dedication to trying out camping this year, I felt compelled to ensure I tried it out on my own. So not only did I go camping for the first time, it was a solo camping adventure in a rustic campground. I took my biggest Tent which was a Quest Cross Vent Tent from Dick’s Sporting Goods that I bought on sale.
After it taking a long time to set it up and take the tent down, I realized that I needed a smaller tent to make this more enjoyable and overall, a quicker experience. So, I went heavy into looking for a backpacking tent that fits my personal needs for sleep. This Nature Hike tent was on sale for nearly 50% off so I figured why not order it and give it a shot. The tent arrived this week and since I didn’t have time off from work that would allow for me to camp, I did the right thing and set it up outside of house in my yard.
I am highly impressed with the quality of this tent and its available ways to get fresh air into the Tent. The available vestibule flap and the ability to stake out the rainfly is a unique feature that I’ve never experienced before. I am also impressed with how it held up during a Mid-Summer Thunderstorm and there was zero water that got inside of the tent.
While it’s low to the ground and I can’t fit a cot inside of it, I can however fit a sleeping pad and some gear for personal comfort and entertainment. Which I find to be just perfect spacing for sleeping or resting during a break from hiking or a camping trip. I would assume a hot tent stove can be ran with this, the stove would just be on the outside. I also feel safe using a propane heater in this unit.

I see this tent as perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, it is very easy to setup and take down. The Cloud River Camping Tent combines portability, protection, and comfort, making it ideal for all-season camping adventures. The ability to have such tremdnous air flow and views is really unqiue and awesome. This is worth the extra money vs buying an Ozark Trail 3 or 2 Person tent.
